UPDATE after 6 months... Just moved to Alexandria for a new job and this apartment was my first and only choice. The apartment is very stylish, clean and modern. Everything, such as groceries and stores, is very close and convenient. Everyone here and the community here is very friendly. There are only a few issues such as the fire station is very close to the apartment so every night you will hear sirens and alarms (this could be a plus if there ever was a fire, knock on wood) Another issue I had was that the heater wasn't working when I first moved in, however, it isn't an issue right now as it's the summer. Besides that, I absolutely love the Graham apartment! Mr. Anderson Ayala, who works at the leasing office, made moving to my new apartment very easy! Absolutely friendly and answers questions fast and thoroughly. Definitely recommend him and the Graham! UPDATE: After 6 months of living here, I changed my 5 star review to 1 star... I am trying hard to enjoy my experience living here but the new management here is absolutely the worst. This is apparently a "No-Smoke apartment." Multiple times I tried to contact management and security about marijuana smoke and cigarette smoke leaking into my apartment but they have done nothing. Might as well call it a "smoke" apartment instead of "no smoke"... If you want third hand smoking come and move in! The laundry room always has broken washers and dryers. I don't think management even cares to fix them and they always break. There are multiple times where the water has shut off unexpectedly. Hot Water is also shut down without a notice and only had freezing, cold water for 2 days in the middle of the winter. I also had water damage from my upstairs neighbors. Nothing to do with the management but there's always a chance of getting that living here. Can't wait till my lease expires.
The apartment CONTROLS your AC and heat. YOU WILL ONLY HAVE HEAT IN YOUR APARTMENT FROM OCTOBER 8TH UNTIL APRIL 6TH . AFTER THE 6TH YOUR HEAT WILL BE SWITCHED TO AIR CONDITIONING ,WHICH LASTS FROM APRIL 6TH TIL OCT 8TH AGAIN. YOU WILL NEVER HAVE THE ABILITY TO CONTROL THE CLIMATE IN YOUR APARTMENT. Also, they MAKE THE CLIMATE SWITCH even when the temperature outside does not fit the required change( Meaning they will switch it to HEAT EVEN WHEN ITS HOT OUTSIDE OR AC WHEN ITS STILL COLD AS LONG AS IT FALLS ON THOSE DATES MENTIONED) Again Run!!! The apartment will never mention this and will expect that once you sign your lease, you are locked in. The apartment will ask you to open your windows if you are hot, and buy your own heaters if you are cold for $1600 a month.
I am due to move in on October 31st. I am very impressed with the look of the common areas and finishes of the unit that I will occupy. I am most impressed with working with Anderson, he has been amazing and extremely responsive during the application process. I accidentally paid my online deposit to one of the other towers and Anderson contracted them to arrange a refund for me. I have read several reviews and have a concern about pest. Otherwise I give 5 stars now and let’s see how things go in the near future.
I just moved in about a week ago. I can say by far the best apartment search experience I have ever encountered. Karen was so very kind and helpful. I felt like I can trust her and she had my best interest at heart. My apartment was clean and was ready for me when I moved in. She gave me a welcome bag With little things to start me off with which was great. The special was amazing and affordable for me. I recommend everyone to ask for Karen if you are in search of a new home!!! Thank you Karen!!!
